Focus on the project start
A project is a race against time, a good start is the key to the success of a project.
Unfortunately the management focus is not sufficient and the teams are always too optimistic about the possibility of recovering the first delays.
Our proposal is to support the teams in this phase, in order to start the project in the best conditions. We have a methodology that supports this action based on 2 pillars:
• Coaching of the project manager during the first 3 months: Throughout the start-up phase, we have work sessions and one interview per week to support him in this phase and help him overcome the difficulties encountered. Work sessions for the following topics:
o Planning of very short-term activities: List all the stages of the project for the first 3 months (project planning, client meeting, team mobilization, project strategy, finance, etc.)
o Validation of the project strategy
o Project risk analysis
• Team building session (with the support of a partner): The success of the project depends mainly on the performance of the team, so it is important to build this team from the first days of the project. The session focuses on:
o The levers of a team's performance
o The roles and responsibilities of each
o The role of the leader
o An analysis of the team's weaknesses
o The governance of the project.
Support to troubled projects
Some projects are in difficulty, the reasons can be multiple and sometimes external to the performance of the project team (accident, bankruptcy, etc.), but the consequences for the supplier and for the end customer are often very significant. It is therefore essential to intervene at the first signs (delay, additional cost, customer feedback, etc.);
An external analysis made by an expert is necessary because it is impartial and candid. Our basic proposition is first to carry out an audit and then to propose solutions, it includes:
• Search for causes,
• Skills assessment,
• Solution proposal / Strategy,
• Coaching, team building,
• Negotiations support,
• Mediation between 2 parties,
We can support these projects with external resources that will take charge of specific subjects (replacement of a member, expert on specific subjects, etc.)
Are you ready to open your construction site?
The success of a construction site depends on its preparation before it opens. We note that this preparation is not done with the right rigor and often problems arise when the teams have already started, this generates additional costs and delays.
Our proposal is to support the teams, several months before the site opens. Our added value is our experience coupled with a checklist of potential risks;
• Checking that the project is ready to start a construction site: 3 days with the teams
• Support for challenges detected during the audit: Follow-up possible after this audit
Support during the execution of a project
It happens that the projects fall behind schedule and sometimes even with significant additional costs. Our proposal is to go to the site, do the necessary audits, and suggest improvements. This includes:
• Site productivity audit. Search for difficulties.
• Optimization of schedules
• Optimization of the site organization
• Skills assessment
• Assessment of communication between the site and the rest of the project
Note: This type of action is always an investment that is always beneficial, indeed even the sites that are progressing correctly still have areas for improvement, the cost of the audit is negligible in view of the potential gains; and the vision of an expert outside the site is always a source of improvement.
